THE BOOK GODS HAVE BLESSED US WITH AN EPIC BOOK RELEASING SPREE THIS AUGUST!!! I’m stoked to show you which books I’m fangirling over and what I’m most excited about!
Let’s just get right to it!
Here are my most anticipated August book releases!
5.
The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles #3)
By Mary E. Pearson
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 2ND
Lia and Rafe have escaped Venda and the path before them is winding and dangerous – what will happen now? This third and final book in The Remnant Chronicles is not to be missed.
Bestselling author Mary E. Pearson’s combination of intrigue, suspense, romance and action make this a riveting page turner for teens.
When the sequel, I had to force myself to finish it. It was so slow and I wasn’t overly happy with that. I actually have forgotten was has happened but I think I should read the last book. Forcing myself to read the sequel would have meant nothing if I didn’t. I’m really excited how Mary E. Pearson will end this trilogy though. I’ve been impressed with each ending in her other series so I’m sure it’s going to be (hopefully) better than the sequel. That cover is pretty badass though, if I do say so myself.

A Beautiful Funeral (Beautiful #3)
By Jamie McGuire
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 15TH
Losing has never been easy for a Maddox, but death always wins.
Eleven years to the day after eloping in Vegas with Abby, Special Agent Travis Maddox delivers his own brand of vigilante justice to mob boss Benny Carlisi. Vegas’s oldest and most violent crime family is now preparing for vengeance, and the entire Maddox family is a target.
The secret Thomas and Travis have kept for a decade will be revealed to the rest of the family, and for the first time the Maddoxes will be at odds. While none of them are strangers to loss, the family has grown, and the risk is higher than ever. With brothers against brothers and wives taking sides, each member will make a choice—let the fear tear them apart, or make them stronger.
*calmly* Jamie. *loses composure* WHO THE HECK IS GOING TO DIE?!? WHAT?!? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DOOOO?? I’m so excited to read another novel where Travis Maddox and Abby get to be the front-runners!! Seeing them in Beautiful Redemption gave me feels and now Jamie has given us a third book in their story!! This is going to be GOOD. (and painful). I think I’m going to reread Abby and Travis’ books again. 😀

Arcana Rising (The Arcana Chronicles #4)
By Kresley Cole
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 15TH
Losses mount and deadly new threats converge in this next action-packed tale of the Arcana Chronicles by #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole.
When the battle is done . . .
The Emperor unleashes hell and annihilates an army, jeopardizing the future of mankind–but Circe strikes back. The epic clash between them devastates the Arcana world and nearly kills Evie, separating her from her allies.
And all hope is lost . . .
With Aric missing and no sign that Jack and Selena escaped Richter’s reach, Evie turns more and more to the darkness lurking inside her. Two Arcana emerge as game changers: one who could be her salvation, the other her worst nightmare.
Vengeance becomes everything.
To take on Richter, Evie must reunite with Death and mend their broken bond. But as she learns more about her role in the future–and her chilling past–will she become a monster like the Emperor? Or can Evie and her allies rise up from Richter’s ashes, stronger than ever before?
I have waited SO long for this to come out!! I went online and looked for updates about book releasing information. When I saw it was going to be released August, I FREAKED OUT. This has been a long journey with these books and I can’t wait to get back in Evie’s world and her Empress powers. The ending of Dead of Winter left many questions in my head and I’m ready to get some answers. Definitely counting the days till this release!

It Ends with Us
By Colleen Hoover
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 2ND
Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all-too-human characters, It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.
So, I thought I would have to wait until August to read this, but I guess in Canada it was already on shelves so I picked it up at my nearby Chapters and sunk my teeth into it the night of. Let’s just say, it was an anticipated for a reason and whoever reads this will not be disappointed. And advice: have a box of tissues nearby because you’re going to need it. Powerfully raw and emotional, this is the best novel Colleen Hoover has written.

So many good ones being released this month which means I really need to play catch up ASAP! I just picked up An Ember In The Ashes & Beautiful Disaster. I’m highly considering making It Ends With Us my 1st COHO book, it’s calling my name…maybe the fact that the female protagonist shares my name is a contributing factor lol.
