Happy Halloween!!!
This October has been super eventful…in real life. My blogging life? Eh, not so much. I tried my best but sometimes life just got in the way. 😦 October didn’t bring a lot of reviews but I have a massive post coming to you soon to make up for the reviews. I finally found a name for quick reviews, and it has an alliteration in it!! *squee* BEST. THING. EVER. It just came to me one day, and it was perfect!! Can’t wait to release this!! (Hopefully soon, like November soon)
Anyway, I want these Monthly Wrap Ups to be a newsletter of some sorts, so despite no reviews, I still got some exciting bookish stuff to share with you guys!
Let’s get started!
Seriously, I just eat books like it’s the last day on earth. I just don’t stop. Really don’t think that was a smart idea but what can I say? It’s not going to change.
I’m just going to list the books I’ve read this month, rate them, and just give a small thought on it, leaving me room for the actual review later!
4/5 stars: My first science-related memoir. Loved it to bits. Such a great novel for those interested in the medical field. However, this is more personal and from a patient’s point of view. Definitely a page-turner.
4/5 stars: So freaking fluffy and romantic. A friends-to-lovers novel that leaves utterly satisfied. HEA is obviously there. Couldn’t put it down. This is why I love LL so much! ❤
4.5/5 stars: I’ve been procrastinating this sequel to Blurred Lines because that book is one of my favourite from LL. It sadly didn’t meet up to its predecessor, but it’s still a great story with angst, developed characters, and a lot of sex. Another LL romance for the books.
3.5/5 stars: This was an on-the-whim read. Wasn’t expecting much but a well-written, bad-guy kicking storyline. I got it and again super satisfied. Love FBI/Attorney novels. It’s my weakness. The kickassery was great and I love the characters’ relationship. The sarcastic quips made my life!
5/5 stars: God, this was exactly what I’ve been wanting from the last book in The Wedding Belles series. SO. GOOD. To describe this series as a whole, it gets better and better as the books progress. Expect the best from LL in this one!
5/5 stars: Holy Lord. I’m emotionally unstable. I’m shocked. I’m hurt. I’m pumping my fist in the air because SJM just took everything to a whole other level. Everything makes sense now and I’m dying here. I’m so sad. I haven’t been able to read another YA novel since. I’m still processing this amazing, heart-breaking novel. I just can’t right now…

Because I can’t read anything Romance, YA, or NA, I have resorted to pure Fiction novels because I need to venture out into that world. I also think, the realism will help with the book hangover.

- I’m currently in a Crow costume as I’m writing this post and the wings are hell on earth. Super pretty and soft but not practical at all…
- I can’t seem to stop eating candy…I swear by tonight more than half of the candy will be gone before I start giving out candy to the kids. (I know, how horrible of me, some poor child won’t get their bag of chips or chocolate bar.)
So what are you for Halloween?? How was your October reading wise?? Empire of Storms killed me inside. I’m so sad, and now I gotta wait one year for the last book to come out!! I’m in so much denial.

Addictively Turning Pages 
It seems like you had a fantastic reading month! I didn’t have a good one. I only managed to get through two books and then it was reading slump central. Aso, for Halloween I’m sitting at home eating candy and watching horror movies lol. I hope November is a great reading month for you! 😊

Yes I did! Now, any book I read isn’t that great cause ‘Empire of Storms’ just killed me.
That really sucks. Hopefully, it’ll be over soon. 😕 maybe November will release a book that will overcome your slump. Halloween candy would be a great comfort food until then though😜
It’s so sad. I haven’t watched a horror movie for Halloween!! 😭😱 I’m also way too weak to watch them late at night without someone beside me. I love thriller the best. ‘the Girl on the Train’ is on my list of movies to watch.

I actually recently started a book called Ink and Bone by Lisa Unger and it is so good. So far it’s beating my reading slump. But yes! I have a feeling a lot of the November new releases will help too. 😊
Also, I really want to watch The Girl on the Train too. And read the book. My mom said it’s a pretty great book but I’ve heard a few mixed things about it.

That’s awesome you found a book that’s fighting through the slump!! Haha, yes I need to read the book before watching the movie, I refuse to watch a movie before reading the book. (If I know it was a book before)
Eep. I’ve stayed away from the reviews so I won’t be biased when I begin reading. That’s both good and bad news to me. I guess we’ll have to see. 😬

It’s definitely fighting through my slump but taking me so long to read because I’ve been busy with school.
I try to read books before I see the movie but sometimes I end up seeing the movie first 🙈.
