February 2017: Most Anticipated Releases

most-anticipated-releases-feb2017

Am I surprised that the majority of these anticipated releases are romance novels? No.. I mean I have an excuse because this is the month of Valentine’s Day after all but I do have one sci-fi and one fantasy for you though. 😉 I’ve been in a reading slump lately so I have no idea when I will read these. Although, #1 might get me out of it.

Keep reading for my top February book release!!

REVEAL | Till Death by Jennifer L. Armentrout + BOOK TRAILER

reveal-till-death-jla

Hello friends! I have a wonderful surprise for you today. ❤

As you may or may not know, I’m a hardcore JLA fan. I’ve fallen in love with the Lux series (Daemon & Katy 😍) and the Covenant series (Alex & Aiden 😍) when I first read them in Grade 8. This has transferred to my teen years and although Liam @ Hey Ashers’ snark of the first book is so far hilarious and undeniably true, I still love her books. Emilie @ Fiction is My Reality and I have had some passionate squealing sessions over our mutual love for Daemon, and JLA in general.

I’ve been waiting for some time for a JLA book that has caught my attention, and my prayers have been answered because our favourite author has been locked away and writing for us. And if you’ve been living under a rock for the past days/weeks/months, you may not know about the news regarding Jennifer L. Armentrout’s newest release, Till Death.

Well, don’t worry, I’m here to tell you ALLLLLL you need to know about JLA’s up and coming standalone, Till Death!!

December 2016: Most Anticipated Releases

most-anticipated-releases-dec2016

Reality has set in that this is the last month of books that are ever going to be released in 2016!! 😱😱 Wow.

There are not many books that I got my eye out for, HOWEVER, like the saying goes, it’s quality over quantity.

Let’s just say my December is going to be a colourful event. 😉

Let’s see what’s on my Most Anticipated this month!blogdividerRead More »

November 2016: Most Anticipated Releases

most-anticipated-releases-nov2016

Alas, this is one day late…HOW DARE I?! 😂 My birthday is in a few days and I’m so ready to have a book-buying spree. SO. READY. It really doesn’t take much for me to be happy. 😜 My birthday celebrations are pretty low-key; just a small meal with the family and CAKE! (Can’t have a birthday without cake!! 🙌👌❤️)

This month’s releases isn’t too bad when it comes releases but it could always be better. My TBR had no trouble increasing though, so there’s that. Why can’t books release all at the same time?? Actually, that is a horrible idea. I would be bankrupt in minutes, and I would literally be drowning in books because I need time to process and mourn before starting another book.

Anywho, these are my Most Anticipated for November!

October 2016: Most Anticipated Releases

most-anticipated-releases-oct2016

This October, I have much better luck with book releases as I have 5 instead of the sad 3 last month. 😂 At the same time, I didn’t make a single dent in that list or my TBR in general, so this is one step closer to going to an asylum as I crazily run around and sob over my overbearing list of TBR. (But that is the book nerd life so I’m proud at the same time…) Yes, I’m conflicted.

This is a big month in the YA world as 3/5 of my Most Anticipated are the conclusions of much loved trilogies!! So, it’s a rather bittersweet October as I’m full of happiness and excitement but I’m going to be super sad it’s over.

Let’s check out these beauties!

summer in the invisible citySummer in the Invisible City
by Juliana Romano

RELEASE DATE: JUNE 21ST

Seventeen-year-old Sadie Bell has this summer all figured out: She’s going to befriend the cool girls at her school. She’s going to bond with her absentee father, a famous artist, and impress him with her photography skills. And she’s finally going to get over Noah, the swoony older guy who was her very first mistake.

Sadie wasn’t counting on meeting Sam, a funny and free-thinking boy who makes her question all of her goals. But even after a summer of talking, touching, and sharing secrets, Sam says he just wants to be friends. And when those Sadie cares about most hurt her, Sam’s friendship may not be enough. Sadie can see the world through her camera, but can she see the people who have loved and supported her all along?

Set against a glamorous New York City backdrop, this coming-of-age romance is a gorgeous summer read—one whose characters will stay with you long into the fall.

I’m amazed at the rating on Goodreads for this novel, hence why I’m going to give this novel by Juliana Romano a try. I actually read her debut novel, and it was pretty good. I love the way she writes Coming-of-Age so I think this might be a pretty good June TBR. I’m going to have to wait until I’m in the mood for this genre though. That cover is also very pretty.

summer days and summer nightsSummer Days, Summer Nights

Includes: Leigh Bardugo, Nina LaCour, Libba Bray, Francesca Lia Block, Stephanie Perkins, Tim Federle, Veronica Roth, Jon Skovron, Brandy Colbert, Cassandra Clare, Jennifer E Smith, Lev Grossman.

I’ve only read one novel that consists of short stories and I think this is a great novel to start the adorable shorts and there are twelve summer romances!! This is THE summer beach read!! I’m extremely excited to get my hand on this novel!! It’s going to be sooo cuuute and it’s going to be a quick read too!! And the authors?!? This is promising. But how promising? I’ll let you guys know. 😉

the problem of foreverThe Problem with Forever
By Jennifer L. Armentrout

RELEASE DATE: JUNE 1ST

For some people, silence is a weapon. For Mallory “Mouse” Dodge, it’s a shield. Growing up, she learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime.

Now, after years of homeschooling with loving adoptive parents, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at public high school. But of all the terrifying and exhilarating scenarios she’s imagined, there’s one she never dreamed of—that she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.

It doesn’t take long for Mallory to realize that the connection she shared with Rider never really faded. Yet the deeper their bond grows, the more it becomes apparent that she’s not the only one grappling with lingering scars from the past. And as she watches Rider’s life spiral out of control, Mallory must make a choice between staying silent and speaking out—for the people she loves, the life she wants and the truths that need to be heard.

I had so much uncertainty to put this novel on my TBR. After reading many reviews, I’ve decided to read it. I mean it’s JLA!!! I cannot not read her novel! This is definitely different for her though so we’ll see how well she can expand her skills to realistic fiction and contemporary romance from fantasy.

2.

all the missing girlsAll the Missing Girls
By Megan Miranda

RELEASE DATE: JUNE 28TH

Like the spellbinding psychological suspense in The Girl on the Train and Luckiest Girl Alive, Megan Miranda’s novel is a nail-biting, breathtaking story about the disappearances of two young women—a decade apart—told in reverse.

It’s been ten years since Nicolette Farrell left her rural hometown after her best friend, Corinne, disappeared from Cooley Ridge without a trace. Back again to tie up loose ends and care for her ailing father, Nic is soon plunged into a shocking drama that reawakens Corinne’s case and breaks open old wounds long since stitched.

The decade-old investigation focused on Nic, her brother Daniel, boyfriend Tyler, and Corinne’s boyfriend Jackson. Since then, only Nic has left Cooley Ridge. Daniel and his wife, Laura, are expecting a baby; Jackson works at the town bar; and Tyler is dating Annaleise Carter, Nic’s younger neighbor and the group’s alibi the night Corinne disappeared. Then, within days of Nic’s return, Annaleise goes missing.

Told backwards—Day 15 to Day 1—from the time Annaleise goes missing, Nic works to unravel the truth about her younger neighbor’s disappearance, revealing shocking truths about her friends, her family, and what really happened to Corinne that night ten years ago.

Like nothing you’ve ever read before, All the Missing Girls delivers in all the right ways. With twists and turns that lead down dark alleys and dead ends, you may think you’re walking a familiar path, but then Megan Miranda turns it all upside down and inside out and leaves us wondering just how far we would be willing to go to protect those we love.

Megan Miranda is my guilty pleasure. I don’t read enough of her books!! She writes such chilling, dark novels and I’m just amazed by her creativity. When I saw this book, I had to read it!! Look at that concept, aahhh it’s gonna be soo good!! It sounds so mysterious and captivating! I mean that summary.. I can’t. I’m so ready to dive in to mystery and thriller.

the way to game the walk of shameThe Way to Game the Walk of Shame
By Jenn P. Nguyen

RELEASE DATE: JUNE 7TH

Taylor Simmons is screwed.

Things were hard enough when her single-minded dedication to her studies earned her the reputation of being an Ice Queen, but after getting drunk at a party and waking up next to bad boy surfer Evan McKinley, the entire school seems intent on tearing Taylor down with mockery and gossip.

Desperate to salvage her reputation, Taylor persuades Evan to pretend they’re in a serious romantic relationship. After all, it’s better to be the girl who tames the wild surfer than just another notch on his surfboard.

Okay, so I’ve been waiting for this to come for months. Although I’m definitely more excited for All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda, I need a fix of contemporary romance and a swoony love story. I have a diverse preference for romance, and one of them is the (very) cliché pretend relationship to real one. *blushes* I just find that concept has so much room for creativity but. but it has to be done correctly. I can only tolerate this cliché for so much. So, this is #1 because I want to read, review and critique. I’m nervous and my expectations are high as the towers at Hogwarts. We’ll see.

This month seems to be the month of contemporary and realistic fiction. I guess I had my way with fantasy and action. (Who am I kidding? XD I’m totally in for lots of rereads of my fav fantasy series) Anyway, June wasn’t packed with as many Anticipated Releases as May but we still got some interesting reads.

What are your June Anticipated releases? Any I mentioned above? Are you excited for summer beach reads? More so, are you ready for summer?!? 😮 Let me know in comments below!

29386890The Ending I Want
By Samantha Towle

RELEASE DATE: MAY 1OTH

Taylor Shaw had the perfect life—until she was sixteen. That was when everything changed. From that moment on, life went from bad to worse…to the worst.
After recovering from a brain tumor, months later, she suffers the tragic loss of her whole family.
Since that fateful day, she’s been coasting through life.

Now, the brain tumor has returned, and Taylor decides she’s had enough. She’s going to take her fate into her own hands.
No more hospitals. No more surgeries. No more anything.
She’s going to join her family.
It’s her decision.
What she longs for.
The ending she wants.

She just has a list of things to do before she goes.
First, go to England.
Second, kiss a stranger…

Only, Taylor didn’t expect Liam Hunter, the stranger—with his handsome face, his six-foot-three of gorgeousness, and his oh-so-hot English accent—to change things.
To change her.
To change the ending she wanted.

What is a girl, who is standing on the edge of nothing, to do when offered the chance of everything?

This is going to make me cry. I can tell already. I’ve read Samantha Towle books before and I’m looking forward to reading this novel. Her writing is smooth and captivating. The storyline is very interesting. I’ve stayed away from medical themed books because I know they will make me cry and I also don’t want to rely on the fact that it may or may not be accurate so I don’t want to be ruined by some horrible ignorance about what it’s like to be having medical difficulties in life. I’m putting a lot of pressure on this book and how realistic it will be.

24889218Wicked Heart (Starcrossed #3)
By Leisa Rayven

RELEASE DATE: MAY 17TH

Liam Quinn is talented, gorgeous, and one of the biggest movie stars in the world.

He’s also the only man Elissa Holt has ever truly loved.

After being out of her life for six years, he and his gorgeous fiancé are set to star in the new Broadway show Elissa is stage managing. The only trouble is, when late night rehearsals bring Elissa and Liam together, the line between what is and what could have been gets blurred, and one moment of weakness will lead to a scandal that echoes around the world.

Elissa knows that falling for Liam again would be a tragedy in the making, but as any good romantic will tell you, love doesn’t always follow the script.

A story about Ethan’s sister!! I adored Broken Juliet and Bad Romeo and I have really high expectations for this book!! Elissa was just a great secondary character, and I can’t wait for her to get her HEA!! *squeal* It’s going to be sooo good!! AND instead of the acting focus like it was in the other books, it’s the behind-the-scenes/directing approach that will be super exciting to read about.

3.

26074181The Crown (The Selection #5)
By Keira Cass

RELEASE DATE: MAY 3RD

Twenty years have passed since the events of The One, and America and Maxon’s daughter is the first princess to hold a Selection of her own. Princess Eadlyn didn’t think she would find a real partner among the Selection’s thirty-five suitors, let alone true love. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you… and now Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more difficult—and more important—than she ever expected.

The Selection series has sold more than 3 million copies and captured the hearts of fans around the world. This swoon-worthy final installment is the happily ever after they’ve all been waiting for.

*sobs* The end is here! The final Selection novel until it will be put to rest; for real this time!! Love the title, hate the cover. That dress is so plain, and ugly. All the other dresses were phenomenal and the last book gets this boring, weird dress. 😦 At least the story won’t reflect the dress…I hope. Again with the high expectations for this finale. I hope Eadlyn chooses Kile, and this series doesn’t end anti-climatically because that’s what I’m really worried about. My emotions better be intact by the end of this novel. *scoffs* Yea, right. Prepare yourselves, Selection fans, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

2.

26198812The Hunt (The Cage #2)
By Megan Shepherd

RELEASE DATE: MAY 24th

They’ve left the cage—but they’re not free yet.

After their failed escape attempt, Cora, Lucky, and Mali have been demoted to the lowest level of human captives and placed in a safari-themed environment called the Hunt, along with wild animals and other human outcasts. They must serve new Kindred masters—Cora as a lounge singer, Lucky as an animal wrangler, and Mali as a safari guide—and follow new rules or face dangerous consequences. Meanwhile, Nok and Rolf have been moved into an enormous dollhouse, observed around the clock by Kindred scientists interested in Nok’s pregnancy. And Leon, the only one who successfully escaped, has teamed up with villainous Mosca black-market traders.

The former inhabitants of the Cage are threatened on all fronts—and maybe worst of all, one of the Hunt’s Kindred safari guests begins to play a twisted game of cat and mouse with Cora. Separated and constantly under watch, she and the others must struggle to stay alive, never mind find a way back to each other. When Cassian secretly offers to train Cora to develop her psychic abilities—to prove the worthiness of humanity in a series of tests called the Gauntlet—she’ll have to decide fast if she dares to trust the Kindred who betrayed her, or if she can forge her own way to freedom.

THE HUNT. THE HUNT. THE HUNT. I love the title of this book and the cover model for Cora in that yellow dress!! 😮 Ermergeeerd!! I’m so pumped to sink my teeth into The Hunt!!!!!! That ending was torturous but so good and Cassian needs to make things all better again! What will happen with Cora and her new-found abilities?? And they are back in another environment??! What happened?! I need to find out sooon!!! Ahhhh!!
